Punk-rock concert with puppetry elements

A production that can’t be described in words, but you have to experience it: vivid animation of the materials, rhythmic text, expressive musical passages. The Slovenian production uses Anderson’s Tin Soldier as a springboard to work with material and rhythm on stage. And like Andersen, the show exposes its soldier-wildlife to the elements of earth, air, water and fire, but places them in a photographic studio: a darkroom.

The Ljubljana Puppet Theater is a Slovenian theater that celebrated seventy years of existence in 2018. Twelve new productions for children and young people are staged on six stages each year. It combines the principles of the classical puppet form with variable alternative procedures. The theater hosts the biennial LUTKE International Puppetry Festival, which is the inspiration for our Spectaculo Interesse. The theater has a rather unusual location: in the historic castle in Ljubljana, where there is also a permanent exhibition in the Puppet Museum.
