SPECTACULAR INTEREST 2023

Theater groups from France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic arrived in Ostrava between October 1 and 6, 2023. As part of the main part of the program, 23 ensembles took part in the competition part of the main program and at the same time 2 performances as a non-competition, oversaturated evening program. Theater performances were performed in Studio G, at the Janáček Conservatory, in the Plato Gallery and, of course, on all stages of the Ostrava Puppet Theater. They were then complemented by a rich student section and an off program that enlivened the streets of the city, similar to what happened during the previous years of the festival.

The main prize of the 14th edition of the Spectaculo Interesse festival
for an original and up-to-date grasp of a political-historical-social topic by traditional means, not pathetically, critically and at the same time kindly and with humorous exaggeration
a co-production production by the Registered Association of Czech and Slovak Puppeteers presents: Kašpárek a zbojník DRAK Theatre, Hradec Králové and Bratislava Puppet Theatre, Czechoslovakia
