The Radost Theater is a professional theater for children and youth operating in Brno since 1949. Its founder and first director was the teacher and important amateur puppet director Vladimír Matoušek, who was one of the leading personalities of the interwar generation of Czech puppetry. The director and artistic director Vlastimil Peška, who consistently applied the program of music and entertainment theater and was also the initiator of the extensive reconstruction of the theater, was a significant figure from the mid-1990s onwards.
