An intertwined network of bodies, sounds, impulses, and reactions.
Mycelium as connection, interconnection, and endless matter. The performance is inspired by microbiology, fairy tales, and bodily imagery. It explores the boundaries between organisms, as well as between humans and materials. Through sourdough, objects, and electronics, the performer connects to a complex sound system in which body, voice, and matter communicate with each other. Sound transducers placed in the audience and microphones on stage create a spatial dialogue where it is unclear who is leading and who is being led. Questions of corporeality, identity, and boundaries dissolve into matter, movement, and resonance.
Annina Mosimann (*1991, Bern) is a puppeteer, performer, and visual artist. She studied Fine Arts in Lucerne and Contemporary Puppetry at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in 2021. She works as an independent artist on her own projects as well as in theatrical collaborations in Switzerland, Germany, and France. As a creator, she moves at the intersection of theatre, visual arts, and experimental music. In her work, she explores dreams, the unconscious, and the relationship between body, object, and image.
