The jury of the 15th biennial Spectaculo Interesse 2025 International Puppetry Festival awards the following prizes:
Jiří Adámek Austerlitz for directing the production Hugo’s World (Bratislava Puppet Theater).
For sensitively drawing the audience into the story, focused work with children, and awakening their creativity. The BBD acting ensemble played an irreplaceable role here, successfully bringing the director’s concept to life.
The award was donated by the City of Ostrava, with Lucie Baránková Vilamová, Deputy Mayor of the City of Ostrava, serving as patron of the main prize.
Dominik Migač for the set design and technology of the production Soudružky s kroužky (Comrades with Rings).
For his thoughtful and innovative technical solutions and precise artistic execution, aesthetics, and sophisticated approach to flat puppetry.
The prize for the winner was donated by Bartosini s.r.o.
Annina Mosimann for her performance in the production Mycelium.
For authenticity, diversity, expressiveness of the body, and a strong performative presence.
The prize for the winner was donated by VKUS-BUSTAN s.r.o.
In the student/graduate section:
Berta Doubková from the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theater at DAMU Prague for the production Vyrobím díru, abych z ní mohla čouhat (I’ll Make a Hole So I Can Stick My Head Out).
For a fresh take on object theater and performer focus.
The prize for the winner of the student/graduate section was donated by the City of Ostrava – the student competition prize was sponsored by Deputy Mayor for Education Andrea Hoffmannová.
